The SaunaBox® SmartSteam Kit is ready to use in 3 simple steps. Assemble the frame and heat insulated tent, which takes about 10 minutes. Once assembled, pour distilled water into the SmartSteam chamber, and within 15 minutes, steam will flow into the tent. Step inside, sit down, and experience the vast benefits of heat therapy.
The SaunaBox® can heat up internally to 130-140° F with near 100% humidity which may feel subjectively hotter and can elicit greater strains on the cardiovascular system.
Why? Water has a higher heat capacity than air. When you're in a steam sauna, the air is saturated with water vapor which carries more heat energy to your body than dry air would at the same temperature.
This is why the temperature is lower in steam saunas but the humidity can make it just as intense, if not more so, than a dry sauna
The inside of the heat insulated cover is designed with anti-microbial materials to help prevent mold and bacteria build up. A quick dry & machine washable absorbent sweat mat for the floor of the sauna is included in every order. After use, we recommend leaving the door flap open to air out and wiping down the water vapor on the inside walls.
Will Mold grow?
No! The inside of the tent is designed with anti-microbial materials to help prevent mold and bacteria growth.

"I mostly love the sauna. Very easy to assemble, heats quickly and maintains the steam. The only issue I have with it is the difficulty taking off and putting on the top of the water container. I have tried and tried and I just can’t get it on or off myself. I always have to have my husband do it. And I am not old and weak - the lid to this thing is an absolute nightmare. Otherwise, I would’ve given five stars because I absolutely love it except that issue"
"My 1st Sauna box lasted approximately 5 years, with no issues or complaints. I am on my second one now. . . with the red light therapy and absolutely love it. . i use it daily and have no complaints. Can't comment on customer service as I have never had to reach out. Thank you"
"Easy to follow instructions to set up and use Steampro. Steam, heat, and LED are a perfect combination for relaxing muscles and amazing clean feeling post shower. Only minor issue/reiterations: The connector sometimes needs a toggle to transfer the steam. Also, use filtered water as suggested to prevent film in the steamer."
"I'm VERY pleased with the product. I selected carefully and for a STEAM sauna (bath) solution, Saunabox was the best solution for my circumstances. It has performed as promised, or better. All components are appropriate for the price point and work quite well. I've added a small hook to the inside cross section upon which I hang my water bottle avoiding having to bend or sit to drink during the experience. I also added a clip to to hold the door flap folded wide open for drying in between uses. I use a floor fan trained on the unit constantly between uses to ensure drying and use a vinegar/water spritzer after each use to avoid mildew formation, so far so good. I placed the unit on an inexpensive 6' x 8' tarp which keeps all of the sweat and water in one place during my recovery. I wear a heart rate monitor and I get quite a good zone 2 to zone 3 workout for each 20 min session. I use the alternating sitting standing method recently recommended to maximize the fitness effect. I have BMI of 28 so I see a 8 to 10 degree drop in internal temp shortly after entry which physics demands. I simply adjust the setting accordingly to get the desired sustained target temp. Probably something you should discuss in the ad materials and you-tube vids as this was a bit of a surprise and may be a turn off to those unfamiliar with thermodynamics! ;-) Ha! I love the unit. Thanks"
"This is 100% one of the best purchases I have made. I always loved a nice steam sauna but never thought I could afford one. This jewel is easy to assemble fits virtually anywhere and does exactly what I want it to do (gets hot, makes me sweat). The price point is great and doesn’t break the bank. I highly recommend this product 🥰"
"Great product. The heat is very legit and makes for a great sauna session. There is a few things that have disappointed me; For paying $400 these things should never happen. 1. The steamer. It works great, the lid is of poor quality. One of the pegs that latches in place to secure lid while hot steam is made got brittle and broke off. Also one of the relief covers got brittle enough that it also broke off. I now put a weight over the lid to ensure no water leaks and I taped the relief hole. 2. The chair. Now I understand it meant to be a nice little combo you get when you buy a bigger package, but the chair is not fit for a hot steamy environment. Its rusted in half for me and ive used this chair for a year and a half, Unacceptable. 3. Steambox hose inlet. This was poorly thought. It needs a durable rubber hole gasket, so the screw clamp that is used to make a sound fit for heavy steam flow doesnt leak. The hole of my steambox inlet is loose and wallowing. Otherwise a great product."
"I’ve been extremely impressed with this sauna. It was simple to set up, heats up fast, and works exactly as advertised. I’ve noticed improved relaxation and recovery, and I use it almost every day. You get amazing results at a fraction of the price, highly recommend!"
"This was one of the best investments I’ve ever made. My recovery from work and my workouts is so much better, and I’ve also noticed when I’m sick I recover more quickly than I would normally."
"I bought the smart steam with red light over 6 months ago. I get in it anywhere from 2 to 3 times per week. I use it mainly at night right before I get my shower. It gets really hot to the point I can only stay in no more than 15 minutes. In the summer no longer than 10 minutes. I use filtered water from my refrigerator. I keep it up at all times in my garage Best purchase I have made in a while. It helps me sleep better and it helps with recovery after my strength training. Was very easy to assemble and overall very easy to use. Well worth the money."
"I like the sauna overall, but what don’t like is the different levels. Level 5&6 barely gets hot. Level 7 is so steamy it’s sometimes hard to breathe. I wish there was somewhere in between those. Having it on level 5 or 6 is no different. If anyone has any tips, I would love to hear them."

The inside of the heat insulated cover is designed to help prevent mold and bacteria build up. A quick dry & machine washable absorbent sweat mat for the bottom of the sauna is included in every order. After use, we recommend leaving the door flap open to air out and wiping down the water vapor on the inside walls.
The SaunaBox® can be used both indoors and outdoors. If you leave it outdoors, we recommend having an appropriate cover such as a canopy, balcony, tarp, etc. The SaunaBox is NOT weatherproof. Leaving the SaunaBox outside for a long period of time will cause exterior cosmetic damage.
SaunaBox is designed to be both energy-efficient and powerful. Here's a breakdown of the electricity usage during a session: 20 minute session = 0.703 kWh To put it in perspective, the average cost of electricity in the U.S. is about $0.15 per kWh, meaning a 20-minute session costs roughly 10 cents.
Yes, it requires a standard 110 or 120V outlet.
Distilled or purified water is poured into the SmartSteam chamber and within 10 minutes, steam begins flowing from the chamber into the insulated tent.

The sauna takes about 10-15 minutes to set up and 5 minutes to take down. After you do it once, it gets easier to do it quickly - we compare it to setting up a small camping tent - we wouldn't recommend having the intention to set it up and take it down daily as that may be tedious. But, is it worth bringing on a trip for a few days? We'd give that a big "yes". It will come in a box roughly 11in x 11.8in x 40in (for comparison, this is around the size of a golf bag).
No, all of the fabric is not machine-washable - it comes with an absorbent mat for the floor that is machine-washable along with a towel designed to wipe down the walls after use.
